Materials

Our reproduction pieces come in several finishes that you can choose that are suitable for a variety of conditions and therefore placements in either the interior or exterior.

All pieces are cast from moulds taken from the original antique pieces.

Artificial Stone

This is a hard wearing material, ideal for exterior/garden use, but can also be placed indoors. This material has been used in Statues since the 18th centuary and is often mistaken for naturally weathered natural stone.

Due to the materials used the pieces can be extremely heavy so caution should be used when moving any item. They are painted with a special coating using our own formulae to give a Cotswold stone effect and a coating to make them aged with a moss weathered appearance.

Plaster

Only suitable for interior use. This is made from decorative plaster and pieces are white in colour, some may be given an aged effect look They are more fragile that the stone but make a fine addition to any property. Made using the same methods that crafts men have used for many years.

Marble or Bronze

We may take commissions to produce items in other materials, including Marble & Bronze. For more information and prices do contact us, though generally prices are double the cost for plaster or stone.
